The Echoes of the Past Scholarship Application

The Echoes of the Past, founded in 1994, is an antique tractor club that promotes the preservation and restoration of antique tractors, farm implements, accessories, and artifacts. The club is dedicated to caring for the youth interested in agriculture. We believe that the best way to succeed in the future is to be educated in the past. Having an understanding of Agri-history helps future generations improve on what countless generations have put into place to feed the growing world.

The Echoes of the Past partners with local FFA chapters and 4-H clubs to support members in their growth in their agricultural education. This scholarship is just one way the club can financially aid those wanting to continue with their desire to learn and grow in the field of agriculture. Students who have chosen to pursue a career in agriculture will be the beneficiary of this scholarship.

Application Submission Requirements and Deadline:

The scholarship is granted to graduating seniors of Warsaw Community Schools and Tippecanoe Valley High School or graduating seniors related to a current Echoes of the Past club member. Recipients of the award must excel in academics, serve throughout the community and have participated in FFA for a minimum of 3 years or 4-H for a minimum of 5 years. They also must obtain a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale.

The questionnaire is to be filled out by three references of your choice that fulfills each of the following positions: 1) Teacher; 2) FFA/ 4-H Leader; 3) Religious, Civic or Community Leader not employed by your high school. Each of the three references must be completed and submitted by April 1, 2024, for your application to be considered. The questionnaire can be found at www.theechoesofthepast.com. Please note that online applications must mail a copy of the applicant's transcript to The Echoes of the Past ,6966 W. 1300 S., Silver Lake, IN 46982.

The winning applicant will be asked to submit a photo for publication or will have their photo taken upon being awarded the scholarship to be published at a later date.
